Mighty Mite pickups are best known for being used by Van Halen.

Mighty Mite pickups were made in Southern California by a company called Turbo-Jet and the bobbins were wound using a bondable wire. After the bobbins were wound the coils were heated in an oven and the special insulation would bond to each other making a solid coil - this produced very distinctive nipples from the individual coils. Another distinctive feature of these pickups is the lightly woven braid. This set of pickups come complete with original black pickup surrounds, screws and springs. The pickups measure 13.0 & 12.9 kOhms and the lead is in excess of 12 inches. There is no coils split on these pickups.
